Graduation Requirements & Information

Graduation Ceremony

The graduation ceremony is at 7 p.m on Friday, May 31, 2024.

It’s located STMA High School stadium. Length is approximately 90 minutes. Parents will receive email communications about graduation. Please ensure your email address is correct in ParentVUE.

Graduation Fee and Deadline

The school collects the graduation fee ($25) through Fees in your ParentVue account. Cash or check payments can be given to staff members in the main office. The payment deadline is two weeks before the ceremony. Contact Anne Zahler at annez@mystma.org with any questions related to fees.  

Cap and Gown Information

Cap and gown distribution date will be posted in May.
If these times do not work due to scheduling conflicts, please schedule a time with the STMA HS office at 763-497-2792 ext. 8001.

Diploma

Graduates will receive their diplomas after the ceremony.

Ceremony Attendance

Graduates who will not be attending the ceremony should contact your Guidance Counselor at 763-497-6525.
 

Ceremony Tickets and Distribution

Ticket distribution information will be posted at a later date.  Each graduate will receive TBD tickets if the ceremony remains outdoors. If the ceremony moves indoors due to the weather, each graduate will receive TBD tickets.

Community Service Hours

Community service forms for all seniors are due mid-May. 
 

Disability Accessibility

If you or a friend/family member uses a wheelchair or other mobility-assistive device, you will be able to request accommodations starting mid-May. Please email Corrie Bergen or call Corrie at the number below regarding your needs.

Graduation Rehearsal

On Friday, May 31, at 9:45 a.m., there will be a mandatory graduation rehearsal at the high school. All seniors are expected to participate in this rehearsal to ensure a well-prepared ceremony that evening. As outlined in the student handbook, “Participation in the commencement ceremony is a privilege, not a right. Students must be in good standing upon completion of the school year to participate in the commencement ceremony.”

Graduation Requirements

STMA High School is on a Trimester Schedule with five periods a day. Each class is worth one credit.

 

Total= 55 credits

Weighted Grades

*AP (Advanced Placement) & CIS (College in the Schools) classes are weighted. Please see our registration book for the list of AP & CIS classes.
